Hi, I'm Dan Swanson head professional at Guilford Golf and Country Club. Today I will talk about grip pressure while you are putting. If I was to grip the putter as tightly as I could, that would be a 10 out of 10 on grip pressure. You want to hold your putter about a 2 or 3 out of 10. That way we don't have any white knuckles. We have blood flowing through our fingers. This will increase your feel and increase pace and you'll be hitting your putts on line a lot more of the time. Like a tube of toothpaste. Hold on to the tube so no toothpaste would come out. Set up the putt with nice light grip pressure and then putt.
